About Bernie
It all began with a vague idea in the 90’s about gathering a collection of Tiger photographs by others. But then Bernie was bitten by the photography bug during his travels around the world. A passion for Tigers and for photography grew ever-more consuming and this book is the end result (at least, so far).
Bernie began his working life as a teacher, then, after doing an MSc, worked for a while as a researcher, then as a consultant, for Loughborough University. His later career as a founding Director of a Risk Management consultancy meant that Bernie was lucky enough to work globally, pulling in trips to see Tigers wherever he went. Bernie is now retired and lives in Northumberland in the UK - still travelling to see and photograph Tigers and other animals wherever he goes - especially to Blair Drummond Safari Park, near Stirling, in Scotland, where his favourite Tiger, Hope, now lives.
